Christmas Playhouse

A few months ago I got the idea to make a playhouse for my boys.  If they where girls we'd call it a doll house, but they're boys.'s a play house.

I got lucky and found a naked wood house at a garage sale, so for $20 I brought this baby home.

The house was kind of naked and sad, but I knew that with a little imagination, she'd be just fine.

Inside the naked house (does that sound dirty- it's not meant to be)

Now for a peek inside a few of the rooms.

Hand painted peg people and friends enjoy an episode of the Cleveland Show in the living room.

Once the boys got their hands on the house hijinx ensued!

Mario and Sonic chillin in the red room
I have no idea why the Hulk, Batman and Spiderman are all in the bathroom together, especially while black Spiderman is taking a bath.
Mario and Wonder woman enjoy a nooner.

This is the storage box I made for all the peg people
Mario and Luigi check out the blue room
Princess Peach checks herself out in the mirror
Of course, the boys put peg Mommy in the kitchen cooking dinner.  Even in Peg Life I don't get a break!
Total cost to make this house = $30
Cost of 20-unpainted peg people = $20
Bringing joy and quiet imaginative play to my household = PRICELESS
